TODAY

It didn’t stand a chance.

There’s a catch in the air.

There’s a lump in my throat

Sometimes life isn’t fair.

today is going to be tough

I hope I’ve got enough.

I’ve got to be strong

I must be so brave

Paths chosen wrong

made me it’s slave.

But strife helps me see

the person I can be

the deeper the hole

the higher the climb

and God bless our souls

and God bless our minds.

He will help us see

the strength that’s inside
