LOVE ME TILL’ SPRINGTIME

You are like a song
you are a song of leaves
rustling in a gentle breeze
you smile your voice your eyes
falling in love with you was so easy
was so easy like a summer rain
at the county fair last year.
If I could show you how I feel
with music
touching piano keys
softly pushing notes
thinking of you
I’m writing this song for you
I couldn’t sleep, I think
I could not leave
I stayed too long
I had no choice
it was so right , and
It never felt wrong
Piano notes are playing
gentle as rain drops.
Arms around you
arms around me
hot kisses that last forever
forever costs a lot
nothing good is free
but OOOOOOOOOO
come closer baby you
don’t let this ever stop.
Can’t stop thinking of you
a three alarm fire
is going off in my head
where do we go from here
what do we do now.
I know nothing is forever
I could never let you go, oh no
I can’t let you go. Please
stay with me for a while.
Stay till spring. If you leave
I can’t cry till then
maybe by then I can
learn to live without you
maybe by then if you go
I can learn to smile
at someone new.
But I know I will see you
see you in their eyes-
but now, I love you so
you are my everything
sipping warm Merlot
each sip of memory of you
memories that don’t end
lets drink to us
Every drop of the beauty and
for me it never seems to end.
