LOVE CANNOT BE EXPLAINED
How can I tell you what’s been said a million times before. How can I not use words that sound cliché. I am not smarter or cleverer in using words than the next person. But you and I are nothing like other people. It doesn’t matter how many people surround us, they all disappear. My eyes and heart see only you when we are together.
It’s frustrating to be at such a loss for words. Just seeing you appear on my horizon and standing near to me gives me such unspeakable thrills, and I burst with pride every time.
Just knowing that you love me, I become the tallest man on the planet. Even if I could find the words for what I feel right now, just speaking those words out loud to you, I would become so emotional that my voice would be paralyzed. Let’s hold each other’s hand and hope that our hearts can speak to fill in the gaps where the words fail.
I want to explain what I feel in my heart. I’ve been in love before, and I’ve been hurt before, and that’s the man that stands before you today. I am battle scarred. All that I have, has been bruised but when I’m with you I don’t feel the pain, anymore. My skies are bluer.
This may sound corny but even if it does, it’s true. Music is especially powerful in my heart when I think of you.
If I may, I look deeply into your beautiful eyes, I see the rest of my life. Right now, the shivers of emotion rising up inside of my chest is changing my breathing. I am definitely in the moment. I am not going to be able to speak without choking. I’m about to lay my life out before you and surrender to you. I wish to melt into you, and sometimes even become you, and for the rest of my life. I mean this from the bottom of my heart and to seal this promise, witness the tears that role effortlessly down my face. We will strengthen ourselves together when we need help.
I take your hand and press my lips against your fingers. I feel the warmth of your fingers on my cheek and again, I kiss these hands that have done so much for me. I adore the person that you are so completely. I don’t agree with everything you say and everything you do, at first, but you have a good heart, and you love everybody and everything around you. I can’t tell you how much I admire that. That’s what sets you apart from everybody else.
I trust you completely. It’s not necessary for me to understand how your mind works. You often see things that I miss. And, In my defense, vice versa as well. Together we are a mighty team.
In a loving way, we become each other. We work hand-in-hand seamlessly to accomplish all tasks.
I adore you more than life.
