I had absolutely no restrictions on me what I was in high school other than the usual. Try not to get killed .

Mom and dad didn't want me to blow myself up and they preferred it when I did not come home drunk and wreaking of cigarettes.

But I was a teenage idiot who was in love with one half of everybody at high school. I dated Betsy just to be dating,

but I didn't even like her and I don't think she liked me either. We went on a few dates with each other and maybe I was bold enough to put my arm around her.

We went to an awesome concert and saw Jerry Lee Lewis. I really wanted JoAnn so bad I could taste it. But JoAnn was always dating other guys and going steady with them

and who knows what else. There might've even been hand holding and kissing but I for gave her. I invited her down to my house all the time and we would

make out in my photographic darkroom. She said I was a shitty kisser. To me that was just an invitation to try again. She went steady with Don and Dennis

and who knows who. But she always came down to my house and we would kiss and flirt. Finally when I was 19 or so, she asked me if I'd like to go with her.

I had been pining for this for the better part of 10 years and then when it was finally offered I had to decline – sadly. I was already involved with Chris,

the girl that I eventually married. We got pregnant. I have no idea how that happened. I think it was a miracle. I think it was an Immaculate Conception because

I showered first. I don't think you missed very much by not having romance in high school. Based on my experience, I think you dodged a bullet.

If I would have set my sights on you when I was in high school, I would not have given up. I would do my best to get into all of your classes so we could at least

walk to classes together and hold hands. Would any of the people you knew, have ratted you out to your mom and dad? I would've been very inventive about how to go

about seeing you. I'm already figuring out how I would do it and this is a made up scenario. What fun
