COCAINE LIFE — -PART 4
@Colleen Millsteed, @Cathylouise and @Bradan Writes Stories
This is my “Post Card Fiction” addition to my story. It is 301–500 words.:

My lifestyle has lately developed into a nightmare. I have a daughter that I love more than my life. Because I spend money like a drunken sailor, I’ve got a ton of gambling debts. I guess some people got tired of waiting for their money and they took my daughter Lexi. I can’t call the cops because of my cocaine life. They grabbed her as a hostage to ensure that I pay my debts. At first I didn’t want to confess that my lavish lifestyle has put my daughter in jeopardy like this, but there’s no use in denying it. I did that! My insides are tied up in knots because in order to get my daughter away from these monsters, I have to come up with $250,000. If I can smuggle a kilo of cocaine into Denver I can pay off my gambling debt and still have a little money left, I hope. Of course there’s no trouble flying to Lima, Peru because I’m not carrying, but the return trip is going to be different. I know how to score cocaine in Lima. Even though I’m just a country boy that grew up along the Mexican border in El Paso, I knew how to get a kilo of coke and I speak street Spanish fluently. As I flew into Lima, I started working on my story.
Some consider Peru to be the cocaine capital of the world and naturally, drug smuggling wannabe’s give it a try. I knew it was important to try and act like an actual tourist. I have a round-trip ticket bought weeks in advance, a hotel that you’re staying at that you can show receipts for. You need to be able to talk about wonderful tourist attractions such as Machu Picchu where you have been and most importantly, smile and act calm. They are looking for any unusual behavior as a reason to search you.
But I’m moving forward way too fast. I need to buy the cocaine before I try to get it through the border. At a bar I met up with a nice guy, Carlos. We really hit it off and became friends. I let him know that I was interested in procuring a kilo of high-grade. Carlos said he knew a guy and it would be simple. A kilo of high-grade coke was gonna be about $800. I wish I had some way to smuggle 10 times that. If I could, I would be set for life.
It didn’t take Carlos long and he delivered. As I sit in my room loading 50 condoms and tying them tight with a knot, I’m getting them down with strawberry flavored Astro glide and swallowing them one after the other, just like I rehearsed with sugar.
