Bottle In The Sea

I threw a glass bottle into the sea,
it held a message,
from me to eternity.
It said, I’m lonesome and blue,
signed, your loving friend.
And the PS that I’ll add is
“whoever reads this,
I will never do you wrong”.
New friend, you could be with me,
just like my last friend was,
the one that ran away .
I vow, you won’t be lonely.
I will lift you and support you,
and if life comes on too strong,
we could hang onto each other,
when things seem all wrong.
We would do the best we could do,
to calm our fears and tears.
Our words will be the very kindest,
best that we can say. We will rise up
to support ourselves every day,
each and every step of the way.
If anyone said it’s not true,
that I never gave my all to you,
you ought to know this,
they will answer to me
even if those words were — —
those words were spoken by you.
The glass has now been broken.
Has friendship been redefined ?
Will it never be the same.
I lost my grip , I’m still in shock, from
when you jumped the ship
at the first hint of rain.
Did a mirror throw you a fright, you ran
through every raindrop in the night?
I miss the shoulder I once cried on,
but it can no longer be the same,
I still love you my dear sweet friend.
I am so blue and I have no one to tell it to.
I will never forget you as long as I live.
