A Wish From Heaven

(A poem dedicated to Jane Marczewski known in music as Nightbirde. She is loved by millions and I still grieve for her .)

I wish you could speak for me
to help me to say goodbye
just one more time, on
my flight to God’s eternity.
I was so confused that I cried.
My head was in a whirl,
just trying to understand,
I felt so weak and still I tried.
I was a flower, just a baby all aglow,
just a sweet pretty child.
I stopped to ask myself why — — but,
I guess it was so — — — I guess it was so.

I loved every minute of every day.
Life’s such a delight from start to end.
I couldn’t accept that I was out of time ,
so much music and things yet to say.
Did the judges love me or was it my song ?
I thrilled when they hit the golden button,
recalling it for my few remaining hours.
I could see it on their faces, me they loved all along .

I cried to leave those wonderful days,
just when I was beginning to grow,
but the Angels were calling to me
through all that confusion and haze.

Now…. I completely see
something so beautiful to me.
Now I’m singing with the Angels
where Nightbirde needs to be.

If I touched your heart, please promise me —
you will remember me from time to time
or I will just disappear and cease to be…..
No words and no songs no me -just eternity.

My home in heaven is a bright new day and
“I am so much more than what happened to me.”
I found my place and I want you to know
It’s okay….. It’s okay….. It’s truly okay.
