A Poet’s Point Of View

You said it’s nothing new,
my poets point of view.
I got so mad,
then got real sad,
to hear those words from you.
please don’t leave
before you see,
please try to understand,
a poet sees life boiled down,
the good, the bad
the pain that hides and
where dark things
wear a crown and beauty
is turned upside down.
This mixed up dream,
lets you go deep
inside your childish soul
where days were sweet
on your bare feet
and life is your
theatrical show. And
things that slept
brought back to life
as salty tears did flow,
to find the words,
and cry much more
when finally they come through.
Poets see things in the haze
and may see what you won’t.
Don’t see a poet as a fool
when he sees things that you don’t

I believe in honest true life stories with the thrill of life, romance and strong emotion.
