A Mom’s Request

Mother’s day is coming up.
You might be thinking about
showing that you love me
and smiling on your mom.

I’ll make it easy for you child…
I ask one small thing from you.
Please write a little poem to me,
just like you used to do.

I have one in my dresser drawer,
I think it’s a Valentine.
It was signed with “ I love you “
and “ You’re the best Mom of all time” .

And now, look at how you’ve grown,
and what’s a mom to do ?
I’m feeling sort of lonely,
cause’ I’m still missing you.

Just a little poem, you know the kind,
just to say, “ I love you Mom “
and saying I’m always in your heart
and always in your mind.
